The majestic infrastructure of the hotel consolidates Codelpa’s engineering experience in the construction of works that transcend.
Bávaro, Punta Cana.- For more than 30 years, Constructora del Pais (Codelpa) has developed important buildings that create the foundations of the tourist and economic development of the Dominican Republic. Its most recent infrastructure is the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino, an impressive architectural work that makes it the most imposing of the Caribbean region.
The use of state-of-the-art engineering allowed the construction to take place in a record time of 15 months. Worked under the highest standards of quality, the work has a total construction area of more than 160,000 square meters, combining a modern, organic and classic style; which combines structural and natural elements creating a perfect harmony, composed of nine buildings connected to each other by means of porticoes and three patios with exuberant vegetation.
Codelpa’s commitment to construction excellence converts more than 110,000 cubic meters of concrete and 15,700 tons of steel into the most impressive luxury hotel in the country. The entry into operation of these 1,042 new rooms, which as of today are available for local and foreign visitors, will increase the accommodation capacity of the country. One more contribution that will achieve the goal of receiving 10 million tourists by 2022.
The project includes areas adapted for all publics. Among them stands out the Village with its outdoor paths and with a commercial, gastronomic and entertainment offer; in addition to being a trade center, it functions as an important meeting point for the entire project. All this contrasts perfectly with green gardens, mirrors and water threads intertwined with architecture, which create a creative playful place, offering a diversity of spaces for relaxation. This project marks a milestone in the history of the country thanks to its impressive infrastructure. In addition, it has a theater with capacity for more than 900 people and a skilled club for more than 700 guests. Another precedent in the construction of this magnificent building is the location of the service area, built underground, which facilitates access to offer the necessary services to all areas of the hotel.
